With thoughts of Neil Armstrong, I just realized that performing the act of "Air Guitar" on the moon would be referred to as "Vacuum Guitar".
Tuned Watermelons: I discovered that you could arrange watermelons AT the groc store and play them like a xylophone. The couple shopping nearby thought it was cool.
They were sniffing the cantaloupes.
I asked them if they knew how to detect a cantaloupe that had been inspected several times but then rejected by other people.
They said, "No"
I told them to look for several nostril impressions.
They laughed.
More things later ... maybe.
But . . .if you have old nostril impressions it simply means the fruit was not YET ripe when others sniffed it. The bigger worry is the germs of all the sniffers, and now the music makers hanging out in the melon sections. Big Daddy told me touching fruit without a glove was almost a criminal event in Italy.
ReplyDeletefmcgmccllc: As always I am sure you are correct. Speaking about things automotive-mechanical, I found a very good website for preventive maintenance for my Power Stroke Diesel pickup. I ordered a secondary bypass oil filter today that is supposed to really extend the life of a motor, it is called an FS2500. You might find it interesting.

WOW Mr ESB, Tuned Watermelons sounds very cool, but I would assume they would change pitch as they ripen. Which would eventually end in a sort of splat noise.
ReplyDeleteImagine going home and saying you have been banned from the local groc store for playing music on the fruit and veg.
Who manufactures it?
ReplyDeletefmcgmccllc: The FS-2500 is manufactured by Filtration Solutions World Wide. I put a link to their website in my previous comment.
