Eastern New Mexico was harder hit with snow and ice and power outages. We had a total of 3 inches of snow and our roads were driveable by Monday. I saw one spot in the Texas panhandle got 20 inches, and then wind blew between 30 and 50 plus miles per hour for 30 hours straight, amazing noise level. It was accurately predicted very far ahead of time and people seemed more prepared than normal. There were whiteout conditions so people weren't traveling and the main interstate highway was shut down until Monday in Texas but still closed in New Mexico. But I heard reports just recently that Oklahoma got hit with weather too but I haven't learned those details. Several comical things, a herd of 20 cattle got loose on the loop in Lubbock...esbbostonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09946279220170973147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2182961846257364897.post-6486080975138162622015-12-29T05:18:56.532-06:002015-12-29T05:18:56.532-06:00I wondered how you got on with the weather, glad t...I wondered how you got on with the weather, glad to hear that the worst of it missed you. The North of England is having a terrible time with flooding but we are OK. And the cat which I was very worried about is now eating and drinking again. It is just me who is not feeling 100% now . . . but we have a bit of sun today so I have some small jobs on the house to sort before the next lot of rain turns up tomorrow. I haven't really seen that happen in my town, although there are a few really bad places throughout Texas right now. There was a blizzard, killer tornado, and floods all on the same day across Texas. But I was able to drive to the store just fine, but when I got there they had closed 5 hours early due to the weather, which I thought might have been silly. So I went to Walmart almost directly across the highway from the closed store. Hope your cat is feeling better.

fmcgmccllc: I am able to do fancy letters by holding down longer than normal on a key on my iPad keyboard. If alternate renderings are available (usually several), a popup window appears, then I am able to slide my finger (demo: ėęēêeêèéë) to the one alternate rendering of the letter at a time. But do you notice the e in the middle of all those alternates? In that case I simply let my finger off the keyboard and it simply gave me a simple e. I noticed one of my friends in FB had in corporated a fancy German looking B into his name, but I was unable to change my name to Érnést. It is two fs in étouffée, according to my package of sauce.esbbostonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09946279220170973147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2182961846257364897.post-83457581870984826822015-12-27T18:54:54.856-06:002015-12-27T18:54:54.856-06:00I can't do the fancy Es but I do love me some ...I can't do the fancy Es but I do love me some etouffee. So your wife should say she is being British in her outlook to American politics. This way she can look at folk and say is he a member of that fine shoe producing family nod knowingly and point at the Union Jack.

Dogs always know when it is time to eat.

And take care in the snow and ice.
