Two Posts, One Day (I Might Be Dead Tomorrow)

From cryptogramcorner.org :

Ouch.

Now why couldn'T I have gone The resT of my nice lil' peaceful life withouT geTT ing biT by a scorpion? Sucker goT me in The left fourTh Toe, but I goT him compleTely with a rubber malleT.

There was a red solo cup involved as a TransporT device To The eXecuTion chamber.

Scorpi-on, Scorpi-off.

So if I am sTiLL alive a few hours from now, I won.

I checked out the first aid treatment, I think I am okay. I am alternating an ice pack on it every ten minutes.

I caLLed my mommy to come kiss my boo-boo, but she is busy grocery shopping. -sigh-

I am on day one of trying to go a month without playing Sudoku. So I am studying physics instead.

On Tuesday I went to Wells Fargo to use my security box. I guess I hadn't used it in at least three years because before I could get in the box to get the item that wasn't even there, I found out the bill hadn't been paid in 3 years because the payments weren't setup that way. (?).

But the amount was higher than 3x55=165. THEN I found out they had been accumulating a late fee for non-payment that I knew nothing about. Wells Fargo sends me e-mails all the time! Why not this? So they can manage to charge me late fees but can't figure out how to just take the annual fee out of our account.

Dumb Joke of The Day

Upon seeing my wife's empty box of cookies in the trash can, I ask her, "Do you know what they caLL the odors on the inside of your cookie box? ...pause... Nilla Vapors." She laughed slightly, so she either got the joke or she recognized that it was supposed to be a joke.

When I repeated the punchline I tried to slightly transform the p of vapors into the f of wafers.

I see on teleBision some words under someone talking, "Breakthrough Discovery in Heart Disease". The volume is turned off. I am probably not interested because it most likely means they want me to stop eating something.

In more important news I look out my window at the tree branches moving slightly in the wind. After last night I am just glad to have a few branches left. I see a strange looking branch. Moments later it moves downward. It is a veRy large cat about 15 feet off the ground.

  1. A 15 ft cat is certainly big.

Bit by a scorpion YICKS. I will remain in Britain, we dont have scorpions or 15 ft high cats.

Physics is good but I cant remember much about it. If I recall rightly the inertia of a rubber mallet on a scorpion will make it flatter, but a 15 ft high cat would make it even flatter, as in very flat.

Not sure about the joke Mr ESB I will reserve my Mexican Wafer for now. . . .HA HAHAH Hahah ah ah ah ah ah ah ha hha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha hah ha.

Hope you recover soon from the beast bite.

  2. Rob: During my study I discovered that the species Euscorpius flavicaudis is located in the Sheerness Dockyard, the Isle of Sheppey, Kent. Scorpions don't naturaLLy occur in the UK, as these came from trade with African nations. They are supposedly the northern most scorpions in the wild. I discovered that only a smaLL percentage of scorpions are fatal to humans, whereas a veRy high percentage of humans are fatal to aLL scorpions. I did wait a few hours before putting on a toe sock to be able to wear my Vibram toe shoes. I could stiLL feel a sensation in my toe as late as about 12 hours after the sting but now this morning less than 24 hours I can't teLL anything, so it is kind of like a bee sting. I just treated it with an ice pack for about an hour maybe. I have actuaLLy been in more potential from dogs ferocious in the neighborhood a few times when they have been loose, a pit bull twice recently. IronicaLLy the pit bull belongs to the grandchildren of a former neighbor who was my best friend for a long time a long time ago, but she moved away.

We have been enjoying our new smaLL electric oven, only had it a few days. It is in the northern part of the house so it doesn't affect the temperature of the main part of the house that is air conditioned as much. We had cheese sticks, stuffed breaded jalapeƱo peppers and potato skins last night as a pre-supper. There is a refrigerator-freezer right beside it which is reaLLy handy for food prep storage for oven-ing.

  3. I will be having homemade gooseberry and elderflower ice cream later (not made by me). It has been very hot again today here (I say hot, about 23C which is hot to me).

Pit bulls are banned in the UK, I would also ban Scorpions if I was allowed.

  4. Rob: Is there any flavor you can think of that is close to the combination of those two flavors? I have neVer heard of that ice cream before.

Lets see, 23 C equals ... You are kidding me? ... 73 F is hot? That reminds me of page 30 of Iain M Banks novel Consider Phlebas when Xoralundra tells Horza, "The Culture craft was hiding in the surface layers of the system sun." to which Horza replies, "In the sun? - those [naughty word] are getting smarter all the time."

    As the mallet was descending,
a hail storm it was pretending,
    the scorpion was ending
as the concrete below it was unbending

Later on ice my toe was mendIng
While wily avoiding work with illness pretending.
