Several people, mainly numerical geeks, celebrate today March 14th as Pi day because of the first significant digits of the number pi being 3.14, matching the day and month.
But I thought of another number in math called e, the mathematical constant that is the base of the natural logarithm which has an approximate value
2.71828182845904523536028747135266249775724709369995... out to fifty places.
So combining pi & e gives you pie, a most delicious treat. I plan to eat pie today at sometime after 2 PM using the whole number part of e. For the eXact minutes I used the fractional part 0.71828 times 60 minutes per hour, which gives me 43 minutes plus 6 seconds.
So at eXacty 2:43:06 PM is when I plan to take the veRy first bite. Now, for the fruit fiLLing, do I choose appl-e or ch-e-rry? Ch-e-rry is my favorite between the two, but the 'pl-e' of appl-e looks so close to 'pi-e' ..... When I work on memorizing pi I only go out to 200 places, because anything beyond that is ridiculous.

Becuase it is PIE day I don't think anyone would mind if you had a bit (or all) of both. It's only once a year after all! Enjoy. :O)
Bumferry: I have enjoyed the day veRy much. I added a couple photographs of the blessed event.
Posting pictures of delicious cherry pies where I can see them is strictly prohibited.
I though you knew that.

Pearl of the Tundra: sorry, I did not know that. Are you warm yet? I didn't paint today because I was 'fraid a gettin' a sun burn ... weLL, that was one out of many reasons .... There was also pi e and groc shopping.
I wish I had read this before going to the market. Phooey. I may have to call Big Daddy for a pit stop, except I lost another pound and skinny kinda outweighs pi e for now.
Mine would be lemon first and cherry second.
fmcgmccllc: With it being a special day of pi e, you could have speLLed it "pi t stop". You could have added to the confusion by asking for 3 or 1 or 4 (in that order), while "point"-ing your finger between the 3 and the 1.
Sorry Mr ESB I am a bit late for Pi I was busy and went off on a tangent. I note the clever use of a round plate to eat your Pi, a subtle trick indeed. Interesting if you apply on of your own clever word tricks to a pie it becomes an aid
Rob: aid - pie - how wonderful! You confused me there for a couple seconds, then I cracked up laughing. Then I wondered what it would like using a j instead of an i to give it something upwards .... What do you think?

Hope you are having a great day. I am moving equipment and doing some assembly, hydraulic chairs, at one of our salons. We have some new renters coming in soon.
314 is actually 31 April, which is problematic for obvious reasons.
