I saw this potato product packaged in a pair of pairs while groc shopping.
So called "Smart POTATOES" on the right, a sack of similar potatoes on the left.
The Smart POTATOES are hand selected and then cleaned in a special manner. Then they are shrink wrapped. I wonder what's wrong with the way I wash my potatoes? And I hand pick mine as well, from the stack of availables in the store.
The Smart POTATOES cost 50 percent more than the regular potatoes that appear the same to me. Plus: Smart POTATOES are only sold in groups of eXactly four. HAH! I bought just THREE potatoes today, eXactly the number I wanted. And if I would have needed five, well, you see where I'm going with that. $$$

You need to meet Big Daddy, my husband. He found a store in Grosse Pointe that would break open the package and sell him 3 hamburger buns, because that is exactly what he needed. He never thought that a disaster would entail his need of an extra bun.
fmcgmcclic: one of my favorite movies is Grosse Pointe Blank. I am enjoying your China focused blog with all your photos. Groc shopping is one of my favorite activites, usually anyway. I have lived here so long that I know a ton of people plus so many of my wife's client plus our retail store. I almost went on vacation to China in 2007 but chose South Dakota instead. That was the right trip, a going "home" trip, home of my childhood.
I wish they'd shrink wrap all these damn Butterfingers as then maybe I'd stop eating them...
Marianne: I have trouble with most candy, especially Strawberry Twizzlers. I just can't stop eating them, especially if I'm driving. I do fairly good with PayDay candy bars and I like Jolly Rancher Cinnamon Fires when drinking very weak hot black coffee. But the Cinnamon Fires are going to make my dog overweight, because everytime I have those Cooper thinks he should get a treat when he hears me unwrap one, the crinkling of the plastic wrap. Its probably too close to his favorite noise - when the plastic comes off his slice of American cheese.
