The company that I used to work for sent me a long letter a few weeks ago about the status of their retirement program, an annual report of sorts. Now, I say "their" program because I am no longer technically part of their organization and they have no more legally defined obligations to me through their retirement program. I thought to myself when I saw the letter, "This is strange, I wonder why I am getting this, I shouldn't even be on their mailing list. What a waste of paper and postage."
Today I got ANOTHER letter from the same organization. They mailed a letter of apology, as their records indicate that I shouldn't have received the first letter.
I am thinking about sending them a 'Thank Y0u' note for their concern. I wonder if I can send it 'Postage Due' ? Or, here is an even better idea: They could just give me my old job back, then it would be okay for them to put me back on their mailing list.

Yep, attach both letters to your resume and send it in. With a nice cover letter about how much they obviously miss you.
fmcgmccllc: I should do that, as weLL as include aLL the wonderful many blog posts that I have wrote about them, that should cinch the deal.
Why is post called post, because most of the posts I see are hammered into the ground and cant move. So 'post' is not a post.
Maybe the post box was a box that they kept posts in and then as time passed the old fence builders would carve little messages in the posts in the post box for the other fence builders/makers/repairers like "this was up" on the blunt end as a sort of joke.
Rob: The reason why a post is caLLed a post is because that is the name it's parents gave it when it was born, and that is the only name it answers to. Even though a post may resemble other long skinny cylindrical objects, such as uncooked spaghetti, you wiLL not get a post to answer to this name. I went outside just now and tried, "UNCOOKED SPAGHETTI!!!", I yeLLed at the post, every post along my backyard fence. Just to be sure, I repeated the process, only louder, imagine 6 eXclamation marks instead of three. StiLL, nothing, not a peep from a single pole. The neighborhood children ran away in fear, squirrels scampered off to safety, and a police car drove by slowly a few minutes later. Silence. Then I tried "post" and a very slightly audible, "¿Si?" - which is Spanish for "Yes?" emitted. Then I remembered that the former owner of the property was from Mexico, which eXplained the language difference.
Well that was cheeky of your previous employers! I agree with fmcgmccllc's comment! :D
