Absent For A Bit ....

I am away for a little while working on a few or more episodes for The Adventures of My Space Alien Alter Ego story ... will return (to Earth) soon!

Notice: Blogger has screwed up and lost a bunch of photos out of my blog! They are replaced with a gray silhouette of a human head. I will eventually get them replaced with the correct photo, it may take a while to find and fix everything. So some of my stories don't make much sense without their photos, sorry for the inconvenience.

Weigh Two Funny

I wrote: I haven't seen many people do the "scalding hot water challenge" for ALS yet.

My friend Tony asked: Many or any????

I replied: Anyone or Manyone. Polar bears do the cold water thing aLL the time, and I routinely boil chicken that has been frozen.

My favorite lawyer commented: I guess technically zero isn't many...

Then Tony asked: When you boil the chicken that has been frozen, is it a challenge, or has it been challenged, or is it just challenging?

My reply to my favorite lawyer: TechnicaLLy, speaking of temperature, 0 degrees Celcius is many degrees above Absolute Zero, 0 degrees Kelvin, 273.15 degrees. 0 degrees Fahrenheit is many degrees above Absolute Zero, 0 degrees Rankine, 459.67 on the R/F sized degree.

So zero can be many in many ways.

Reply to friend Tony: Boiling chicken is neVer a challenge for me. I remember watching my grandmother kiLL a chicken once, and once was aLL I needed, so that would be a bit of a challenge.

My friend Tony replied: My Grandmother would take strips of cloth and tie the chickens legs to the clothes line. She would have four or five chickens hanging upside down. Then down the line she would go with her trusty butcher knife.

Reply to friend Tony: THaNKs for the visual, I wAs trYing to eAt somethIng, but now ....

My second reply to my favorite lawyer: You can tare an electronic balance so that it displays zero, but isn't, and then zero is many in several weighs, but stays the same amount of many. If you don't believe me, just ask you gram-ma. Oh, that was weigh two funny.

FinaLLy Tony asked: Are you loosing weight?

Reply to friend Tony: I am pretty sure that when people are not actuaLLy eating or drinking something they are constantly losing weight due to metabolic and respiratory processes. So I only spend a few seconds of any day actually increasing my weight in the process of eating or drinking, so the vast majority of the time I am losing weight. Its a calc-you-less problem.

It was an old country trick in the past to tie a thin rope to the legs of a chicken or maybe two chickens and lower it (them) down the chimney to clear all he soot.

This method is not really used these days folk and chickens would frown and tell you off. But they would arrive at the bottom still alive, although I suspect in some cases they became dinner.

There are as you say many Zero's but right now I can think of none. . . . . . HAH AH HAH AH HAh ah ha ha hahah ha ha ha hahah ha hah ah ah ah aha

"None" ... hahahahahaha

I wonder what kind of negative local jokes that they have in Minot North Dakota, combining say, My and Not words creatively. The neXt time I go to South Dakota I should on to Minot and interview some people there about this issue. I think it's been almost 40 years since I was in ND.

I checked the route, and because Minot happens to be veRy veRy north of Borger, I can travel practically all the 1,000 mile journey there on the same highway, US 83. My son once asked me if it is hard (directions) to get to South Dakota. I told him, no, I just go to Perryton TX and take a left turn.

If I was to drive a 1000 miles in any direction I would fall into the sea.

Rob: They do have those amphibious automobiles that would allow you to drive east and go over the English Channel. I was able to determine a northern route where I would spend 97 percent of the distance on one highway, US 83. I wonder what the longest N,E,S, or W road is in the UK.

Rob: If I did my math correctly, then a 1,000 miles east would be approximately Gromice. So if you could freeze the English Channel, you could just drive there. Drive on ice to get to Gromice, hahahahahaha.

From wikipedia: Gromice is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Bodzanów, within Płock County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland.[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) east of Bodzanów, 30 km (19 mi) east of Płock, and 67 km (42 mi) north-west of Warsaw.

Rob: I asked Google for the driving instruction using normal roadways, and it gave a driving distance of 1,191 miles and an estimated driving time of 18 hours and 18 minutes.

Big Daddy used to chase the chicken down so his Grandma could break their necks and make Sunday dinner. It is what it is.

Rob: To go 1,000 miles south to the village of Agrupación de Mogón in Spain, you would need to travel 1,466 miles by roadway.

fmcgmccllc: When I "run" to the groc store to get my chicken I am usuaLLy driving. I was just recently at my grandmother's old place in South Dakota for a few minutes. There were no humans at home, only a group of maybe 8 dogs, so I never got out of the vehicle.
