From now on through the rest of my life when I see a bone I am going to say,
"that might be Amelia Earhardt !!!"
- even if its a turkey bone that came out of my refrigerator, just in case she reincarnated and that was her as a bird. And when someone says,
"Her last name didn't have a 'd' in it",
I will say, "Different meal, different Amelia"
[ I chose a bird for this humorous spin on one of today's 'news' stories because Amelia Earhart was an aviator ]
This prompted me to get a sandwich. While preparing my bird meat sandwich I suddenly remembered that episode of the TV show "WKRP in Cincinnati" where they release turkeys from a helicopter as a Thanksgiving publicity promo. They don't actually show that happening, its an off camera fictional event. The TV character replies,
"As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."
