I have absolutely no idea how I forgot to teLL you this story.
A customer of my wife was standing in her yard doing yard things.
Suddenly she had an arrow in her neck.
She is not an archer, nor was she necessarily an intended target. It seems that a child shot an arrow over two houses and it lodged in her neck.
Yes, that's right, two houses.
Luckily there were a couple good things that happened neXt.
Good?!?!?
Yes good.
She was rushed to the emergency by helicopter where they removed the arrow that went right between two major blood vessels. So that was a good thing, she didn't die.
Plus she got a helicopter ride.
The second good thing happened when they performed an x-ray. They discovered a brain tumor that is at the stage where it was starting to cause problems but appears to be operable. The operation is scheduled for neXt week. So I wiLL give you an update as to how things go.
In the mean time my wife is getting her a head scarf for after the neXt operation.

The twists and turns of life are complex. Even my strange little (well quite large now)diary has not quite got that profound.
So does she shout at the child or fire the arrow back over the two roofs or keep it in a glass case as a reminder of life the universe and everything
Rob: I, too, was curious about the fate of the arrow after you mentioned this, and so II asked my wife, and she did not know and she laughed and said that she was NOT going to ask about the arrow. So ... That means I wiLL have to continue to beg her to ask because now I am eXtremely curious.
Amazing things happen, thanks for sharing. I too am curious now about the arrow. I would not have liked the helicopter with my air sickness.
That kid who shot the arrow should get a plate of brownies.
Jewels: I have no idea what a plate of brownies is for, it just cracked me up laughing! Please eXplain!
:-) I love that.
I would have that arrow framed...
Pearl
wow, just amazing.
Julie: How have you been?!?!? I have been missing you! I tried to e-mail you a couple days ago to see how you were doing but I couldn't find a contact. Its spring here and May is inevitably a very busy month for us.
This reminds me of an old proverb: there are worse things than an arrow in your neck.
He should get some brownies as a reward for helping your neighbor find out about her tumor. Kid may have saved her life.
Jewels: Oh, I understand now.
