Absent For A Bit ....

I am away for a little while working on a few or more episodes for The Adventures of My Space Alien Alter Ego story ... will return (to Earth) soon!

Notice: Blogger has screwed up and lost a bunch of photos out of my blog! They are replaced with a gray silhouette of a human head. I will eventually get them replaced with the correct photo, it may take a while to find and fix everything. So some of my stories don't make much sense without their photos, sorry for the inconvenience.

A Puzzling Christmas Present

My children liked puzzles and so every year I would try to find them slightly more difficult puzzles to push their minds.

One year I was groc shopping and saw a can of diced tomatoes, and I thought, "Hmm, I wonder if they could do it?" - and sure enough they were able to reassemble a tomato, weLL, the 93 percent of the tomato that actuaLLy made it into the single can.

NeXt year's puzzle took them a little bit longer - I mixed two cans of diced tomatoes.

Have you tried the ever popular remove the label from the can and try and guess the contents. You can tell a lot by shaking a can a bit.

Rob: Yes, I love to play that game, I always guess just two answers alternating between "Dragon?" and "Popcorn?". You might be surprised how often I come veRy close to being correct. I liked your eXplanation of how the world ended and then was recovered/put back in place. You are a genius.

Was the reassembled tomato round or square? Or cylindrical, like the can.

I had to play the game guess the can contents once offshore while working on a Norwegian supply boat in general it turned out to be either fish, hotdogs or peaches.

As for being a genius, alas I am not, just a mad bloke with enough free time to mess about. Talking of which I spent an hour or so today recording some drumming I will try and put in on the blog tomorrow

Joann: Exactly like the picture of the tomato on the can, only not flattened around part of a cylinder shape. Surprisingly neither of my children have complained about me putting this story on Facebook yet. If they teLL me it neVer happened then I wiLL teLL them that they don't remember eVerything that has neVer happened.

Rob: Christmas time, little drummer boy - hahahahaha, that song always reminds me to buy some rum. But I don't drink rum. So I should stop buying it. Viscous Cycle.

Marianne: I am hoping you have a wonderful Merry Christmas, it looks like you might have a bit of snow for Christmas. I am off to make coffee for the wifey and sister-in-law then I am going to the diner to be the last client of the week and chat with the employees. My son is moving home from far away to be here in about a week and I am looking forward to giving him your gift, thanks. I had already told him about it, he thought it was cool.

Shelly: It has been almost 24 hours since I published this piece of siLLiness both on my blog and in Facebook, yet no one in Facebook left their usual likes or comments, so I figure they must aLL have decided they have final proof of my insanity. (Diabolical evil laugh - hahahaha - followed by a ROFwP - Rolling On Floor with Puppy)

No tomatoes were harmed in a wasteful manner to create this blog post. I did, however, make a veRy fine batch of gumbo!
