Absent For A Bit ....

I am away for a little while working on a few or more episodes for The Adventures of My Space Alien Alter Ego story ... will return (to Earth) soon!

Notice: Blogger has screwed up and lost a bunch of photos out of my blog! They are replaced with a gray silhouette of a human head. I will eventually get them replaced with the correct photo, it may take a while to find and fix everything. So some of my stories don't make much sense without their photos, sorry for the inconvenience.

Mix One Part Hatred with Two Parts Goofiness, Then Stir Slowly

Don't you just hate it when you ask your dog a question and he just stands there and doesn't answer, no tail wag, no smile, not anything?

Sometimes I live a very dangerous eXistence. I just had to trim my bad fingernail on my right thumb with a steak knife, using my left hand - and I am right handed. Oooh, I know what you're thinking.

Someone wrote: You know the economy is tough when you see two "Hell's Angels" doubled up on a Honda.

My Response: That madE mE rEally laugh hard. I EvEn havE EnlargEd E's from laughing too hard. That doesn't really mean anything, I just write goofy things after 1 AM. It was 1 AM about 34 years ago almost eXactly, and ever since, bam! -goofy-

United States President Barack Obama has asked the Islamic Republic of Iran for the downed RQ-170 Sentinel aircraft that crashed near Kashmar on December 4. (CNN)

I'm sure he will use a legal defense, "we were just hiking and didn't realize we were in Iran". Then the plane will spend a year and a half in an Iranian hangar, a cold dark smelly hangar, before the Sultan of Oman hands over a million dollars for it.

Remember that thing earlier in that paragraph about the fingernail, left hand and steak knife where I said I knew what you were thinking? Well, it turns out that I didn't.

Alcohol-free blog post - no alcohol was consumed during the production of this particular blog post. (Now I'm not sure if that was a good or bad idea.)

Update: What am I singing/humming this morning? George Harrison doing "Here Comes The Sun", perhaps I am just eXcited about some Texans coming home from far away later today! Here comes the son and daughter-in-law and puppy, yea!

Come on, he asked really nice, just like he said he would.

As for the hikers, well you never asked for my opinion but here it is, you wanna hike around dodgy borders and you get caught up in a a mess, well there ya go. They could have hiked around Vegas.

I have been to Las Vegas, both New Mexico and Nevada, they both look about the same topography, and you're right, they could have hiked here, with Vegas being a spot that looks a lot like most of Iran. Actually most of the state of Nevada probably. I haven't been there much, only the airport passing through and on my way to CA and WA in the air. So if we ever decide to go hiking together, we have the perfect spot to go! Michigan.

Well, I guess it is time to confess. Unless hiking involves wandering the French Quarter wacko watching, or dropping the car at the valet for shopping, I really don't enjoy it. Something about nature just really gets on my last nerve. I think I spent too much time as a child outdoors.

Yes, by 'Michigan' I meant wandering through Grosse Pointe, shopping! There are a few lighthouses in Michigan worth seeing, but only because I have been convinced by commercials. As a chld I wandered around a large rural neighborhood on a bicycle, and foot sometimes. We did have the Black Hills of SD to wander through as well, but that was more rare, even though Spearfish was surrounded by them.

I remember some controversy, again spelling, about the lighthouse and museum where a boat went down I think where Lake Huron meets near the thumb. There are some excellent stories of the lighthouses and the wrecks on the lakes.

Mariner's Church in downtown Detroit rang the bells when the Edmund Fitzgerald went down, that is the responsibility of the Pastor and they still have services, though I don't think they do them yearly any more.

It is a beautiful church and borders on the entrance to the Detroit-Windsor tunnel, drove past that many times.

Every time we come in the house, we ask our dog why he hasn't cleaned up while we were gone. He never answers and he never cleans! You'd think he'd get the hint.

The one thing that Cooper will try to clean is every last piece of cheese out of his food bowl. So if it is baked on the side of the bowl a liitle bit I sometimes have to take it away from him finally.
