I found out I am not smart enough to update my Apple software AND do laundry at the same time.
The GE washing machine kept going without me and drained ALL the hot water & detergent before I got a chance to put any laundry in the machine. I didn't close the lid, and then it started filling up AGAIN with cold water for the RINSE cycle. Its a good thing I already have clean towels. I was really irritated for a few seconds when I thought that maybe it had used up all the hot water, but then realized it was doing a rinse cycle with cold water.
Today is obviously not a multitasking day. I am starting to wonder if its even a decent uni-tasking day.
At least I got the secondary refrigerator cleaned out. My Wifey will be pleased. There were things in there I am certain I could have bottled up and sold on the black market for weapon grade biological warfare chemicals. For a fee I will give you the longitude & latitude coordinates of the dumpster where they are located.
Vocabulary: omniscient - adj. - all knowing (at least I think it means that)

It was obviously in a a real hurry to finish the job and could not wait for the washing. I bet you can fix washing machines though!

Badger: I hate to disappoint you, so I won't tell you that I actually messed up once with the washing machine, finally got the Apple stuff going, wrote this blog post about messing up the washing machine AND then messed up the washing machine a SECOND time, again by getting side tracked with a different Apple software upgrade. I was loudly vocal enough and irritated with myself (humorously) that the dog wanted desperately to hide in the other room or go outside, but I placated him with a plate of leftover pizza, and told him that I loved him and he was my "Bubba Bear". Do your cats ever get upset when they think you are mad at them when you really aren't?
There was a slight improvement in the second mess up, I actually got some towels in the washing machine but didn't close the lid because I was going back for more when the siren song of the Apple appliance lured me away .... at least the washing machine is actually doing the correct steps now (hopefully) because the lid is shut this time.
The really sad part about this whole affair is this is not the first day this has happened to me with this washer. Or the second.
