Something New You Have Done for the First Time in Your Life: on Friday I moved a spider web. I noticed there was a string gleam in the sunlight, a single gossamer thread coming down from the ceiling light fixture in my library to the top branch of my tomato plant. I carefully took my finger and disconnected the strand from one branch and lasso'd it to a lower one.
I am sure this irritated and confused the spider, named Peter, who spun the line. He probably came down the thread looking for his favorite Things Too Heavy To Keep Stored On The Web, such as a grand piano, food processor, or flashlight, and thought to himself, "Man, I just put my stuff right here at the end of thread number 7 (spiders do that ya know, number their web like highways) and now where is all my stuff? Say, is that all my TTHTKSOTW stuff over there on the other branch? Who took my stuff? How did it get way over there?"
(How did I know the spiders name? Don't be silly, I was just guessing ... Spider, Spider Man, Man, Peter Parker ... now you see how my simple wuddle bwain works)
Ooo... I never thought I would write a spider mystery.
I know .. yawn
